Cookie notice

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This notice explains which cookies and similar technologies video4today.com uses, what they do, and how you can control them. It is written to meet the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR.

What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others, like analytics cookies, are optional and need your permission first.

Our approach

We use optional cookies for two things: analytics (Google Analytics, to count visits) and ad measurement (Google Ads, to see whether our adverts lead to visits and sign-ups). We do not set any of these cookies until you click "Accept" in the banner. If you click "Reject", or do nothing, none are set and neither Google Analytics nor Google Ads is loaded.

We do not use social media cookies.

Cookies we use

NameSet byPurposeTypeExpires
v4t_consent video4today.com Remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, so we do not ask again. Stored in browser local storage rather than as a cookie. Strictly necessary Until you clear your browser data
_ga Google Analytics Assigns a random ID to your browser so visits can be counted and repeat visits recognised. Analytics (consent) 2 years
_ga_6M2FLVP5DP Google Analytics Keeps track of your current visit (session) for this site's Google Analytics property. Analytics (consent) 2 years
_gcl_au Google Ads Measures whether a visit came from one of our Google adverts, so we can see which ads work. Advertising (consent) 90 days

Third-party sites

The sign-up button on our home page takes you to amazon.co.uk. Amazon sets its own cookies on its own site, including cookies that record that you arrived from our affiliate link. Those cookies are controlled by Amazon and described in the Amazon.co.uk Cookie Notice.

Our fonts are hosted on our own server, so viewing this site does not send any request to Google Fonts or any other third-party font service.

Changing your choice

You can change your mind at any time. Click the button below, or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page, to reopen the banner. Choosing "Reject" after having accepted will remove the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies from your browser.

Blocking cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Guides for the main browsers:
