Privacy policy
Last updated: 27 September 2026
This policy explains what personal data video4today.com collects, why, and what your rights are. It is written to meet the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. Who we are
video4today.com is an independent website operated by Ali Ghobishavi ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for any personal data collected through this site.
Contact: privacy@video4today.com
2. What this site does
The site has one purpose: to point visitors to the Amazon Prime Video free trial sign-up page. It contains a link to amazon.co.uk. We do not sell anything ourselves, and we do not take payments, run accounts or collect sign-ups.
3. Data we collect
We do not ask you for any personal data. We do not have contact forms, newsletters or logins.
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Google Ads collect usage data on our behalf:
- Pages viewed, time on page and whether the sign-up button was clicked
- Approximate location (country or city level, derived from a truncated IP address)
- Device type, browser, screen size and operating system
- How you reached the site (for example a search engine or a link)
- A random identifier stored in a cookie, so that repeat visits can be counted
- Whether you arrived from one of our Google adverts, so we can measure which ads work
If you reject cookies, none of this is collected. Google Analytics and Google Ads are not loaded at all until you accept.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, time of request, page requested, browser type) for security and fault-finding. These are held for a limited period and are not used to identify visitors.
4. Why we process it and on what basis
Analytics and ad-measurement data is processed with your consent, which you give through the cookie banner. You can withdraw consent at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.
Server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and working.
5. Amazon and the affiliate link
The sign-up button takes you to amazon.co.uk. The link includes a tracking tag that tells Amazon you arrived from this site. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Once you are on Amazon's website, Amazon is the data controller. Anything you enter there, and any cookies Amazon sets, are governed by the Amazon.co.uk Privacy Notice, not by this policy. We do not receive your name, email address or payment details from Amazon. We receive only aggregated reports of clicks and commissions.
6. Who we share data with
- Google LLC (Google Analytics and Google Ads), only if you accept cookies. Google may transfer data outside the UK, including to the United States, under the UK International Data Transfer Addendum and Google's standard contractual terms.
- Our hosting provider, which processes server logs on our behalf.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
7. How long we keep it
Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then deleted automatically. Analytics cookies expire after 2 years at most. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser until you clear it. Server logs are deleted on our hosting provider's standard schedule.
8. Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and give you a copy
- Correct or delete personal data
- Restrict or object to processing
- Provide your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time
Email privacy@video4today.com. We will respond within one month. Because we do not collect identifying data ourselves, in most cases the practical answer will be that we hold nothing that identifies you.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or 0303 123 1113.
9. Children
This site is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be flagged on the home page.
